MPs on the Commons public accounts committee will today welcome reforms to the way incapacity and disability benefit claims are assessed.

"For incapacity benefit alone, £50 million of taxpayers' money is now being saved each year through a reduction in backlogs and improved processing times," said committee chairman Edward Leigh.
