Affordable home plan 'not enough'
Trade unions and housing experts have dismissed a £690 million government drive to fund affordable housing for public sector workers.
They said the Key Worker Living programme was a drop in the ocean which failed to address the underlying issues of low pay in the public services.
Under the scheme nurses, teachers and other workers are entitled to £100,000 loans to assist them in getting on the housing ladder.
