Blair set to meet Palestinian PM
Tony Blair will meet Ahmed Qureia, the Palestinian prime minister, for the first time today at Downing Street.
However, the meeting is set to be overshadowed by events over the weekend, when Israeli troops killed 14 Palestinians, including three children, in raids on refugee camps in the Gaza Strip.
Israel said the pre-dawn strikes in the Bureij and Nuseirat refugee camps were intended to “prevent terrorist attacks against Israeli targets.”
