Blair rejects 'fat tax' plans

Tony Blair has rejected calls for a tax to be imposed on junk food.

Speaking during a "big conversation" event in London yesterday, the prime minister said: "People don't want to live in a nanny state. I would be careful of going into fat taxes, banning this and banning that. People would actually react against the very thing you are trying to do."
