King hints at April rate rise
The governor of the Bank of England signalled yesterday that a rise in interest rates is likely next month.
Mervyn King told the Commons Treasury committee that his monetary policy committee believes in "acting early" to pre-empt the economy rather than react to it.
He also told MPs that the strength of the pound is delaying economic recovery.
