Migrants memo piles pressure on minister
A leaked memorandum has suggested that Beverley Hughes, the home office minister with responsibility for immigration, had approved a scheme to relax controls in order to reduce a backlog of applications.
David Davis, the Conservative's home affairs spokesman, accused the minister of "misleading the public and the House of Commons" and again called on her to resign.
