The Financial Times reports that anti-euro campaigners are to meet this week to decide whether to continue full-time campaigning.

The decision follows the chancellor's Budget statement, in which the reassessment of the case for the European single currency was delayed by a year.

The No campaign predicts that there will be no referendum on the issue before spring 2008.

"We haven't really got anyone to fight any more," said campaigns manager Matthew McGregor.
