Iain Duncan Smith has made his debut on Johnny Vaughan's new BBC chat show, Live with Johnny.

The Times says: "IDS’s biggest problem is not making a fool of himself: he looked OK and made a decent fist of the questions. The real problem is a) the banality of the format and b) that IDS is too normal."

The programme drew 30,000 viewers.
