Jowell gives licence fee hint
Tessa Jowell has hinted that the BBC licence fee is likely to survive.
The culture secretary told a Westminster conference that she would consider all options on funding the BBC but said that “people will have to think very hard to come up with a better solution (than the licence fee), at least for the foreseeable future”.
