GM critics hit out at ministers
Critics of genetically modified crops have reacted angrily to leaked Cabinet minutes suggesting that the government has decided to approve their cultivation.
Michael Meacher, the former environment minister, said that there was no “moral, scientific or political authority” for the move.
The Mail highlights the government's close links with the GM industry through advisors and ministers, although officials have rejected claims of a conflict of interest.
