Tories to halve TV licence
The TV licence would be halved under radical Conservative plans.
The party believes it can cut the cost to around £60 a year.
The BBC would be allowed to run limited advertising after peak-time programmes such as EastEnders but it would be banned from using the fee to pay for "little-watched" digital channels.
