David Trimble has urged the IRA to engage in acts of “confidence building” before devolution could be returned to Northern Ireland.

The Ulster Unionist leader was speaking at Stormont as the main political parties began a review of the 1998 Good Friday peace accord. The talks are expected to go on until Easter at the earliest.
