Ministers delay constitutional reform bill
New legislation that will abolish the post of lord chancellor and replace law lords with a Supreme Court has been delayed for at least three months.
"A bill starting in the spring, in a session that could last until November, gives you, with holidays, a significant amount of parliamentary time for the bill to be properly scrutinised by both houses of parliament," constitutional affairs secretary Lord Falconer told today's Telegraph.
