Brown targets EU red tape
Every member of the European Union will be asked to produce a list of legislation that they would like to see altered or abolished under measures to counter business red tape, Gordon Brown will announce today.
The plans will be released at the enterprise summit to be chaired by the chancellor in London. At the summit, Brown will also publish a paper on increasing entrepreneurship in the UK.
He will announce that members of the Royal family will promote British businesses abroad in a bid to boost enterprise.
