Falconer to push ahead with constitutional reform
Lord Falconer has pledged to press ahead with his controversial plans to abolish his job as lord chancellor and create a Supreme Court this Spring.
The constitutional affairs secretary told a parliamentary committee that he would not be swayed by the opinion of some senior judges who fear the moves are being rushed.
He also indicated that the supreme court judges may have to "squat" in the House of Lords for a period after they have been formally removed from their legislative role.
