'Big three' summit sparks fears

Next month's Berlin summit between French, German and British ministers is causing concern in the rest of the EU, according to the FT.

The "big three" are due to meet regularly in a more formal structure in a bid to give some direction to the union as it expands without a new constitution to 25 members this year.

But some smaller states fear the larger nations will ignore their needs and concentrate on their own interests.
