Government targets copycats
The government is considering introducing a law aimed at eradicating corporate plagiarism. The Patent Office is consulting intellectual property lawyers over a new law of "unlawful imitation" which would clamp down on cases where high street retailers are cutting costs by copying the designs of smaller firms and then not compensating them.
