The Bank of England's monetary policy committee has signalled that further rate rises will follow as growth returns to the economy.

Whilst just one member, deputy governor Sir Andrew Large, voted for an increase at the latest meeting, the minutes of the decision released yesterday seen as a signal that future rises are likely.
