PM issues Aids appeal
Marking World Aids Day today, Tony Blair has launched an appeal to help other nations deal with the epidemic.
"No corner of the globe has escaped. Aids is the biggest killer in Africa," he writes in The Sun.
"The fastest increases in infection rates are in the countries of the former Soviet Union. There is no reason for complacency here in the UK.
"While our levels of infection remain low compared to many of our European neighbours, they are still increasing."
