Hewitt looks closely at US steel actions
Trade secretary Patricia Hewitt has said Britain will keep a close eye on the US to ensure it does not use a steel import monitoring system to re-impose tariffs. But she added that there was "no evidence whatsoever" that Washington was set to back out of its commitment to free trade.
