Official data showing a fall in business investment, has left economists warning over Britain's overall growth.The Office for National Statistics said business investment in the third quarter contracted by one per cent compared with the same period last year.

The figure is a sharp downward revision from initial ONS figures, which had estimated growth of 0.7 per cent.
