Tories warn of backlash over hereditary removals
Interviewed in the FT, Lord Strathclyde warns that removing the remaining 92 hereditary peers will push the legislative programme to breaking point.
The threat of a "backlash" in the Lords comes amid suggestions that a bill removing the remaining birthright peers will be included in next week's Queen's Speech.
