Issues remain in NI peace deal
Irish prime minister Bertie Ahern has warned that there are "three important issues" standing in the way of a deal on elections to the Stormont assembly.
Playing down suggestions of an imminent deal, Ahern said key matters still needed to be resolved.
But a British source said a deal was close - with an agreement between Sinn Fein and the Ulster Unionists to be brokered over the coming 24 hours.
