Credit companies braced for MPs' anger
MPs are expected to criticise credit card companies for pushing "easy credit" at tomorrow's Treasury select committee meeting, after a debt report revealed that bailiffs are chasing a record £5 billion of debt.
John McFall, chairman of the committee, said: "The report shows there is too much easy credit available. Unsolicited increases in credit limits and a lack of information on statements are allowing credit card holders to tip-toe to disaster."
