Blair backs gay clergy

Tony Blair has revealed that he has "no problem" with gay bishops.

Speaking on BBC radio yesterday, the prime minister said: "I've never had a problem with people who are gay doing the things in any walk of life that people who aren't gay do.

"It's never been a distinction that interests me. Personally, I do not have a problem with it, but it really is a matter for the Church of England," he added.
