Manufacturing on the up - but not in Scotland
The long decline of Britain's manufacturing sector could be coming to an end, the CBI said yesterday.
The CBI's September quarterly survey found that the rate of decline is slowing and members are less pessimistic about their prospects than at any time since July last year.
But the survey found that manufacturing expectations remain gloomy north of the border.
