London and Dublin appear to be at odds over the best way to resolve the latest impasse in the Northern Ireland peace process.

As elections loom, Tony Blair is pressing for the disclosure of an inventory of the IRA weapons decommissioned on Tuesday.

The Irish premier, however, believes that such a move could discourage further acts of decommissioning.
