The shadow foreign secretary has accused Tony Blair of being guilty of a "shameful catalogue of abandonment, betrayal, sell-out, dishonesty and [a] total breach of trust" over the death of the late government scientist Dr David Kelly.

"Loyal public servants [have been] pilloried and even destroyed on the anvil of this prime minister's survival," Michael Ancram told the Conservative Party conference.
