Election day in Brent East
Voting takes place in the Brent East by-election today.
The contest is being fought to find a replacement for Paul Daisley, the Labour MP who passed away earlier this year.
Labour held the seat with a majority of 13,047 at the 2001 general election.
The party yesterday drafted in Ken Livingstone in a bid to see off a strong Lib Dem challenge.
If Labour loses the seat, Tony Blair will become the first Labour leader to lose a by-election for 15 years.
The Liberal Democrats are confident, but, according to the Telegraph, the mood is "grim" at Tory campaign headquarters.
