BBC to look at news reporting
The BBC is to review its news reporting following the row over its handling of claims by Dr David Kelly about the government's September 2002 dossier on Iraq, it emerged yesterday.
BBC chairman Gavyn Davies wrote of the planned examination of the comments on the dossier in an email to the corporation's governors.
The email was written three days after Dr Kelly's body was found and has been submitted to the Hutton inquiry.
The Telegraph today launches "Beebwatch" to monitor the political output of the corporation. The paper's editor, Charles Moore, compares the licence fee to church tithes and pledges to monitor the "sermons" the BBC puts out.
