Public now doubts Iraq war justification
A new poll has found that a majority of voters now believe the Iraq war was not justified.
The ICM survey for the Guardian suggests that months of revelations fro the Hutton inquiry have undermined the government's case.
Of those questioned, 53 per cent said the war was unjustified, while only 38 per cent still believe it was right to invade Iraq.
But despite the rows, Labour is still leading the Conservatives.
Labour is on 35 per cent, while the Tories trail on 30 per cent.
Even more worryingly for Iain Duncan Smith, the poll suggests that the Brent East by-election has boosted the Liberal Democrats.
Charles Kennedy's party are now just two points behind the Conservatives.
