Union lawyers back gay rights
Seven trade unions are lodging a court appeal against new employment regulations which they claim do not go far enough to protect gay and lesbian workers.
The unions argue that the legislation will still allow for discrimination in pensions policy and employment by religious organisations, which they claim is in breach of the Human Rights Act.
