Tony Blair was not as close to Bill Clinton as he appeared to be, according to a new book about the prime minister's relations with presidents Clinton and Bush.

According to the book, "Hug them close", by Times writer Peter Riddell, Blair found Clinton "weird", and had several rows, one of which lasted 90 minutes.
