Ministers investigate British Academy
The government is examining allegations of "grants for the boys" at the British Academy after a dispute between dons over funding awards.
The London-based academy, which receives an annual grant of £13 million from the Department for Education and Skills to promote scholarship, has been accused of favouring its fellows in the allocation of awards and allowing them access to information about rival bids.
