Treasury stalls jets deal
The Treasury looks set to delay the award of a £10 billion Hawk aircraft contract to defence group BAE Systems, reports today's Times.
Unless the company learns by July 30 that it has won the order, it will begin making staff redundant and halt investment in the Hawk trainer aircraft project, threatening hundreds more jobs.
