Blair and Sharon hold talks on peace plan
Tony Blair played host to Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon at a dinner in his flat above Downing Street last night.
However, Lord Levy, the UK's special envoy to the Middle East, did not attend. "He was asked by Downing Street not to participate because they know that he and Sharon do not talk to each other," said one Israeli source. "They wanted the meeting to succeed."
