MPs yesterday criticised the government's proposed housing "sellers' packs", saying that a six month trial in Bristol had seen only 61 sales involving the packs being completed.

But the government has vowed to press on with its plans despite the criticism from the Commons committee, saying the packs will become a requirement after 2006.
