MPs warn over credit licences

MPs will today criticise the Office of Fair Trading and the government for not tightening credit licence controls.

"There is still far too little control to prevent unscrupulous lenders and debt collectors from obtaining a licence," said Edward Leigh, the chairman of the public accounts committee.
