Brown resists euro 'road map'
The chancellor is resisting pressure from pro-euro Cabinet colleagues to agree a "road map" to British membership of the single currency.
Gordon Brown is seeking to avoid a commitment to a referendum either before or soon after the next election, reports the FT.
But speaking to ITV yesterday, former Labour leader Neil Kinnock said there should be "a clear commitment in the manifesto that a referendum would be held early in the next parliament".
