Evian to leave sour taste?
In a two-page report, the FT examines the issues set to dominate the G8 summit which begins on Sunday.
The paper finds that disputes over trade and worries over the future of the world economy could strain relations already damaged by the war in Iraq.
The threat from terrorism is also likely to dominate discussions in Evian.
President Bush - who is on a "mission to explain his agenda for the world" - is expected to use the summit to press the case for renewed action to combat Aids in Africa.
