PM steps up Iran rhetoric

Tony Blair has warned Iran that it must end its links with terrorist organisations.

Backing tough US warnings to the country, the prime minister also said that Tehran should avoid interfering in Iraq.

Speaking during a visit to the Gulf, Blair said that support for terrorism could undermine the Middle East peace process.

"If we do get the Middle East peace process underway, it is important that Syria and Iran do not back terrorists," he said.
