The six Scottish Socialist MSPs elected last week took their place in the Holyrood parliament yesterday.

The new MSPs took the oath of allegiance to the Queen under protest - with one bearing the words "my oath is to the people". Another broke into song as he was sworn in.

The six-strong party has promised "madness and craziness" as it turns the Scottish parliament into the "Big Brother house".
