Sharon attacks Britain
Israel's prime minister, Ariel Sharon, yesterday criticised Tony Blair for making "very grave" statements about Israel.
"In my younger days I always saw Tony Blair as a friend of Israel," he was quoted as telling the Jerusalem Post.
"And he may be a friend of Israel today, but those expressions, those comparisons, the demands on Israel, appeared to me an unnecessary intervention."
