Smallpox vaccine row continues
The row over the government contracts to supply millions of doses of a smallpox vaccine continued yesterday.
PowderJect chief Paul Drayson said that his vaccines were no more effective than those of a rival company that are based on a different strain of the virus.
The Conservatives said ministers could have saved £20 million by sourcing the vaccines directly from a German company.
