The former editor of the evening paper in Peter Mandelson's Hartlepool constituency says he was forced out of his job by the MP.

Harry Blackwood said the Mandelson had "threatened my employers and used his band of local sycophants to smear me and discredit me".

Mandelson has denied the claims.
