Iraq: Shares rise
The stock markets reacted positively to the end of diplomacy yesterday, with shares and the dollar surging upwards.
With brokers speculating that a short conflict will not adversely affect the world economy, the FTSE 100 index rose 120 points.
"This is the rally, this is the war rally, we've come through the valley of death," said David Franklin of Christows, the brokers.
