MoD under fire
In a report published today, the public accounts committee attacks the "deficient" planning of operation Saif Sareea II - the military exercise meant to prepare British forces for desert combat.
The criticism comes as it emerged that the Ministry of Defence has spent £500 million in last minute preparations for war. The money has been used to modify tanks and artillery for desert conditions.
