Kinnock criticised over cover-up
Neil Kinnock has been accused of presiding over a "culture of cover-up" at the European Commission, following the leak of a report about a whistleblower he suspended.
The former Labour leader, who is now a vice-president of the commission, suspended Marta Andreasen from her post as the commission's chief accountant after she complained that the EU's £62 billion budget was open to fraud and abuse.
Tory MEPs are demanding Kinnock's resignation over the affair.
