Boost for Ulster peace push
Bill Flynn, a leading American supporter of Sinn Fein, yesterday called for the IRA to declare "a real, total and permanent cessation of all paramilitary activity".
The move raised hopes that progress can be made when Tony Blair and Bertie Ahern put new proposals to Northern Ireland's political parties at a fresh round of talks on Monday.
