Darling to pilot new airports push
The transport secretary will this week pick up the government's stalled proposals for new British airport space after progress was stalled in the High Court last November.
Alistair Darling will outline plans to double the capacity at Gatwick airport by adding a second runway and launch a consultation paper with the Treasury on taxing the airline industry.
